Happy Cinco De Mayo / The Battle of Puebla !!!!

Today Does Not Mark Mexican Independence Day.. Just Remember This When Drinking Brew & Throwing Down on Tacos.
Cinco de Mayo, is the holiday celebrating the Mexican victory over the French army on May the 5th, 1862, at Puebla, east of Mexico City. This Cinco de Mayo battle was part of a longer conflict called the French Intervention, which lasted from 1862 to 1867. Mexico's True Independence Day is September 16th.

This day means a lot of different things to different people so for this I say "Celebrate the will to defeat our oppressors, even those in our own backyard."

On Doing research for this entry I had the misconception that we as a commercial state were the only beneficiaries of any type of revenue gained on the exploitation of this holiday. But the truth is we all get a little piece of the pie on this one.... So on that note: Drink Gangs of Brew with Lime and eat a Grip of Carne Asada.

Feliz Cinco de Mayo...
